Capitol® Premium Cork Underlayment Rolls are designed for use with ceramic tile, stone, marble, glued wood flooring and floating floor systems. This Natural Cork Underlayment protects your floor against stress cracks transferring from the subfloor to flooring surfaces, and reduces thermal transmission, making it ideal for radiant flooring. It reduces sound transmission and makes an excellent sound barrier for all flooring types. Naturally hypoallergenic, this environmentally-friendly cork underlayment contributes to a healthier indoor air quality. Capitol® Premium Cork Underlayment Rolls may contribute towards satisfying credits under the LEED Green Building Program.
Features:
- Natural cork underlayment for use with ceramic tile, stone, marble, glued wood flooring and floating floor systems
- Acts as a crack isolation membrane that resists transfer of stress cracks from subfloor to the flooring surfaces
- Reduces sound transmission from both the surface of a floor, as well as through the floor to living spaces below
- Reduces thermal transmission, increasing effectiveness for floor heating systems. R-Value 0.74
- 1/4 in. (6 mm) thickness to maximize sound reduction
- 22 Delta IIC sound rating value
- 74 IIC and 70 STC when installed under ceramic tile on a 6 in. cement slab with suspended ceiling
- 200 sq. ft. roll measures 4 ft x 50 ft x 1/4 in (6 mm)
