QEP X-Treme Board is a magnesium backer board and underlayment for floors, walls and counters. It’s an Earth friendly alternative to gypsum and cement backer boards with several upgrades. X-Treme Board is naturally water, mold, mildew and termite resistant and silica-free, making it safe for the installer and the end user.

Magnesium-based ceramic tile backer, contains up to 30% post-industrial recycled content and is recyclable
Excellent for use with in-floor heat systems with an R-Value of 0.493
Will not swell, warp, rot, delaminate or disintegrate in the presence of water or water vapor, making it ideal for tubs, showers and floors
Lighter, easier to cut and produces less dust than other backer boards
Rated for use in residential and commercial areas
Absorbs sound better than gypsum products
Contains no silica, no asbestos, no VOCs and no harmful additives
Non-combustible, zero flame rating (Class A ASTM E84)
